IMP PAS organises a knowledge competition on the influence of energy on climate

The project entitled "Energy and Climate - Voivodeship knowledge competition on the impact of energy on climate" received funding from the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in the amount of 135,000 PLN. The originator and principal investigator of the project is Dr. Eng. Magdalena Knapkiewicz.

The aim of the project is to popularise knowledge about how energy use impacts climate, while raising awareness and shaping pro-ecological attitudes among students. The subject area will include issues of renewable energy, nuclear energy and the "fuel of the future" - hydrogen.

The knowledge competition on the effect of various energy sources on the climate is addressed to students of grades 7 and 8 in primary schools in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The main emphasis of the knowledge test will be on topics related to electricity generation and preventing climate change.
